Asbestos Help Manchester is an independent introducer service. We are not the company that turns up in white suits and removes the panels. Our job is to take your enquiry, work out what kind of specialist you actually need, and pass it to qualified specialist companies operating in your area who can quote and attend.

Why we set this up

Greater Manchester has thousands of pre-2000 buildings, from terraced housing in Salford and Bury through to mill conversions in Oldham and Stockport. Most homeowners do not know who to call when something suspect turns up during a renovation, and the market is full of confusing licences, certifications and overlapping services. We sit in the middle, take the brief once, and route it to people who can actually help.

How we choose specialists

Companies on the network have to demonstrate the right licence for the work they accept, current insurance, and a track record of completing jobs on time with the paperwork landlords and agents need. For licensed asbestos work that means a current HSE licence. For non-licensed work, it means competence under the Approved Code of Practice and a written method statement for every job.

We are independent of the contractors we introduce, which means we have no incentive to push one over another. Where independence between survey and removal matters for governance reasons, we route the two parts of the job to separate specialists.

Where we work

We are based at Arrow Trading Estate in Audenshaw and the network covers Manchester city plus Stockport, Salford, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Trafford, Sale, Altrincham and Ashton-under-Lyne, with the smaller surrounding areas covered through the same specialists.
